With the presents of Yeast Infection, wear cotton nursing bras, which unfortunately usually means the ugly ones. Use only cotton or wool nursing pads and change them at every nursing. Wearing artificial fingernails increases the chance of getting yeast infections under the natural fingernails. Fungal infections start in the space between the artificial and natural nails, which become discolored.

Avoid having sex during a yeast infection, since it can affect your partner's body and the medicine can weaken latex. Avoid all carbonated drinks and juices. Then learn to recognize natural sugars and substitute wherever possible for refined sugars. Avoidance of synthetic fiber pants and underpants is recommended, even if synthetic clothing articles are constructed with cotton shields. Ventilation and evaporation of moisture are essential.

Vaginal yeast infection is common among women of childbearing age but can occur in women of any age. Certain factors increase the risk of getting a vaginal yeast infection. Vaginal fluids are most often mildly acidic but this can change. For example, acid levels can go down during menstrual flow. Vaginal yeast infections are caused by a fungus called Candida albicans. Yeast are tiny organisms that normally live in small numbers on the skin and inside the vagina.
